How do you connect a deep fryer?

Natural gas or propane?

Propane: If you often cook on location or want flexibility in where you want to place the fryer, then a fryer with a propane bottle is the best choice. The propane bottle is easy to move and makes it easy to use in a food truck or catering operation, for example.

Natural gas: If you go for a natural gas fryer, then it is important that you have the right connection. A natural gas connection is in a fixed location so you choose a spot for the fryer and do not move it. The fixed connection of natural gas also has its advantages. You never have to buy a new bottle, so you never run out of gas, and it is often a bit more powerful and therefore stays at a better temperature.

230V or 400V?

230V: If you often fry smaller quantities, a 230 volt deep fryer is a good option. The power of a 230 volt deep fryer is a bit lower than a deep fryer on power current, but the energy consumption is a lot less. For small families, this is a good option.

400V: If you work in a busy kitchen where a lot of frying needs to be done at once, then a 400 volt fryer is the option for you. Thanks to the power connection, these fryers have a lot more power than those with a normal connection(230V). However, it is important to check whether you have a suitable power connection. This can differ between perilex and a power socket and in the amount of amps, 16 or 32, there is also a difference. If you do not know which connection you have, ask an electrician.

Note: Always have a power plug connected by a licensed electrician.
If you do not connect the plug properly, there is a significant chance of damage and you will have no warranty on your fryer.
